Wayne Hamit

Rev. C. Wayne Hamit is a social entrepreneur, a business and ministry innovator, leader, and teacher. He founded Mountain Movers International in 2000 to serve as a bridge between needs and resources — helping people of faith discern what calling God has uniquely equipped them for, and partnering with them to excel in it.

Wayne holds a Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary, and his ministry has included service as a church planter, Navy chaplain, senior pastor, and missionary. Before founding MMI, he helped launch FaithWorks with Bob Buford, serving as managing director.

Before ordination, Wayne’s career spanned management consulting, military service, and law enforcement — experience that shaped a distinctive way of teaching: from inside the world’s experiences, not above them.

As a Lutheran pastor, his driving passion is to mobilize people of faith to put their gifts, passions, and financial resources to work for God.
